Things to Do and See in SLO

Mission San Luis Obispo
Experience some California history at the Mission in San Luis Obispo. See how the priests and friars of the time lived and interacted with the native locals. This will also be the site of the flatland competition!

Morro Bay
Morro Bay is a lovely little beach town a little north of San Luis Obispo. Explore the beach front shops and take a walk by the water to spot some otters that are usually hanging out.

Pismo Beach
Want to enjoy the sand and play in the ocean water? Pismo Beach is the place for you! Remember to bring sunscreen and plenty of water.

Petra Mediterranean Pizza & Grill
Petra's is an incredible restaurant, serving very unique pizzas as well as an array of more traditional Mediterranean fare. However, with it being voted one of the top 25 pizza places in the USA by USA Today, if you go there you have to try their one of a kind pizzas.

Morro Bay State Park
A little south of the town of Morro Bay, Morro Bay State Park is a great place to go bird watching or camping. The Marina Peninsula Trail is highly recommended for bird watching.

Cal Poly's Architectural Graveyard
A unique attraction on Cal Poly's campus, "Arch Graveyard" is in Poly Canyon (a great place for many hiking trails), and is the location that many architecture students in their final year construct unique sculptures and buildings.

Gum Alley
While it is a little gross, you can't deny its uniqueness. The Gum Alley is an alley that is covered in a massive amount of chewing gum. If you feel like leaving your mark on San Luis Obispo, this is one way to do it. The only question is: bubblegum or mint flavor?
